Sensitivity to indoor allergens poses a worldwide health problem to large segments of the population, and is relevant from early childhood to adulthood.

Where Are These Indoor Allergens Found

Dust mites are ubiquitous in nature and are found in virtually every household. Mites prefer warm, moist surroundings, and thrive in bedding and floor dust. Cockroach allergens are widely distributed in homes and schools. About 20% of homes with no evidence of cockroach infestation have significant levels of cockroach allergen in settled dust.

Carpeting, bedding, and upholstered furniture in the home serve as  reservoirs for deposited dog and cat allergen.

Fungal (mold) spores, which are a natural part of the outdoor environment, also contain allergens. Some exposure to these spores is normal, but for sensitized people, exposure both indoors and out can lead to symptoms.

ESS can perform an INDOOR ALLERGEN SCREEN- for Dust Mite, Cat, Dog, Cockroach, Rodent and Mold using a biochemical technique known as ELISA.

Indoor allergen analysis is time sensitive and all samples are sent to the laboratory under refrigeration and overnight along with a Chain Of Custody form.

The INDOOR ALLERGEN SCREEN will indicate any involvement and amplification and serve as an indicator for the return to a normal fungal ecology.


If Required - ESS can perform a Bio Clean and HEPA vacuuming of all surfaces. This extensive process will remove any viable and non-viable mold spores and other offending allergens. This extensive cleaning using EPA approved disinfectants will help eliminate staph and nosocomial type infections.

The Bio Cleaning is effective by using a patented cleaner that has oxidizing agents and scrubbing detergents that successfully disrupt fungal, bacteria and viral microorganisms. This disruption allows the cleaner to remove the biomass right down to the substrate. The result is an extremely hygienic surface. 

The Bio Cleaning is followed by application of a protective microbial coating designed to prevent the re-growth of the stronger strains of mold, mildew and bacteria and amplification of offensive allergens.  

Unlike disinfectants, sanitizers and bleaches this application forms a molecular bond to the surface. This prevents microorganisms from carrying on vital life processes. 

Carpet, upholstery and porous materials are cleaned using a new cleaning system that reduces allergen-causing agents by bio cleaning and applying a protective microbial coating.
